A weak chin can make a normal nose seem large, and a prominent nose even larger; it may also give the appearance of a 'fleshy' neck. On the other hand, a chin that is too prominent may give the appearance of having too small a nose.
Chin augmentation is a surgery that consists of inserting synthetic or biological implants to make the mentum bone more prominent. It can give balance to a poorly defined face or augment the existent chin structure to give it a more natural look. The fleshy pad of the chin is normally 8 to 11 mm thick.
The result of the procedure is a more balanced facial structure.
Chin Augmentation is normally done under local anesthesia and sedation. This surgery can be done simultaneously with other plastic surgery procedures.
